The Inside Out exhibit features photographs of the interior construction of garments from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The blog to accompany the exhibit discusses each garment in great detail. What a lovely way to spend a weekend!

Kent State Museum Showcases South African, Namibian Fashion Designers

Posted: Monday, July 11, 2016 – 11:28am
“Fashions of Southern Africa” is curated by Sara Hume, Ph.D., and runs August 26, 2016 – July 2, 2017 in the museum’s Higbee Gallery.
I assume the new exhibit will have a supporting blog and video, so keep checking if you are interested.
Some of the fabric for the outfits appears to be the Shweshwe fabric that I read about at Benjamin Saccaggi’s blog.
And a wikipedia article about Shweshwe fabric
