Big Doll was a Christmas present from my aunt at Christmas 1952. The photo is of myself holding Big Doll. She had a soft body and plastic arms and legs. I think that is a bandage on her left leg to keep the stuffing from coming out. The doll clothes from the ad above would have been a good fit for her.

Hi EmilyAnn, I just noticed the size doll that could wear the clothes would be either a Girl Doll or a Baby Doll. I guess my Big Doll was about 20 inches in height. Because I received her when I was two, some of my earliest memories are of her. I later learned she was given to me by my mother’s sister at Christmas in 1952. My aunt remembers Big Doll was a Madame Alexander doll.
